about

from Mathieu Duval's 'My Record Collection' website:
The Sunburned clan dedicated this live recording to a {2004 World Series} baseball game between the Red Sox and Cardinals (where the Sox won 6-2 by the way). The five tracks here are all instrumental with practically no vocals. These live jams are quite funky with a touch of free jazz at times (especially on Errorful Development). It reminds me of the group's earlier efforts like Jaybird or Wildanimal; after a slew of completely fucked up releases, the collective seems to have headed back to more approachable work instead of all out noise and weirdness. This album along with Blues For Jaco had been announced on the band's website for the longest of time and I was starting to get desperate to find a copy. So I paid over thirty dollars for my copy on eBay only to see it be released not even a week later. Oh well! At least I got bonus stuff with it. The CD-R comes in a thick printed paper folded unevenly.

Blues For Game 2 - Manhand 22 - 2006
This is a soundboard recording from a live show at The Middle East Downstairs. Other bands on the bill were Cul De Sac and Major Stars. Because the 2004 World Series was on, and Boston hadn't made it there in a hundred years, the place was EMPTY. We had a blast though. One of Sunburned's best big band sets and a rare one with Rob on guitar for the set.
