about

From Mathieu Duval's 'My Record Collection' website:

'Poor Jaco! It was Ron's cat and it died in a fire (which almost claimed Ron's life as well as is noted on the insert) two weeks prior to the recording of this live gig. The show took place in Dublin, Ireland and is dedicated to - you guessed it - Jaco! I must say I love the turn the band has taken with these last few recordings. They certainly kick out the jams more than they did on some of their more bizarre outings like Zample or Manhunt. It's certainly really heavy in the percussion department; the drums are downright insane at times! And when the guitar fuzz and noises join in and swell up into a frenzy of funky, heavy psych, it's practically overwhelming. The level of energy that comes out of the speakers is crazy; I couldn't possibly imagine what it must have been like to see the actual show. Some parts are so good, they even remind me of the heavier moments on that crazy Pärson Sound record.'
