about

From Mathieu Duval's 'My Record Collection' Website:
'Sunburned go back to their early tribal-folk-psych roots on this live recording. Many tracks sound like they could have been from some early Butthole Surfers record with plenty of grunting, nonsensical psychobabble and weird noises to reinforce the madness on display. Not quite as chaotic as the Zample series, there are tons of groovy licks here and there, but most of it will leave you baffled. The five part Yod makes up most of the album and even though these tracks are titled the same, each one is quite different from the other. Yod 1 for example sounds like early Sunburned circa Wildanimal while Yod 5 is a completely fried jam with bizarre cartoon samples over excerpts from Beethoven's Für Elise. For those of you who like their Sunburned with a hook, look no further than Zb/Ottowa, this monster live session comes at you with blazing fury and will put you in a trance with it's pounding drums and noisy excursions.'
