This second release sounds like the band in their practice space not doing much more then well... practicing! Like Mahogany Brain and Velvet Underground jamming together, but with the culture clash making it impossible for the two to channel each other's leads. There are some nice weird moments here... This also reminded me of Sun Ra's Cosmic Tones For Mental Therapy... this is a great stoner record. It's perfect music to enjoy in the background on a smoky afternoon (if you are so inclined).

Sunburned's 2nd cdr, mondays were the 'practice' night back in '98 at our Charlestown, Massachusetts loft. Cliff was a Phish taper and nicely taped us in his spare time back then. These are some early insights into our developing sounds. All artwork by Robert Thomas.
