about

From Mathieu Duval's 'My Record Collection' website:

'Terminator 9 is proof to me that no matter HOW fucked up Sunburned Hand Of The Man can become, they'll still be able to go one step further into the extreme and confuse me beyond belief (God bless their souls!). Just getting through the opening two minute long Murder The Future I is best left to hardcore fans only, no one who is unfamiliar with the collective would enjoy this for it's own sake (wait until you reach part IV!). To me, Sunburned have become a bit like German film director Rainer Werner Fassbinder, in the sense that one can't get a clear picture of the director with just one film, it's after a few films (and in Sunburned's case: albums) that one can begin to see the bigger picture and appreciate the subtle details in a broader sense. As a unit all by itself, Terminator 9 might prove insufficient for new comers. Murder The Future II & III is the closest the band comes to being melodious, like a cross between The Necks and Klaus Schulze at their fuzziest.'
