about

Sunburned Hand of the Man - The Ox of Oh
Tarot & Bananas 1
Cassette-only edition of 100 - originally released in 2009.

Sounds like a Sunburned Charlestown loft recording circa 2003-05.

Mathieu Duval's "My Record Collection" website says...

"Don't be fooled by the first few minutes of muddled noise and vapid randomness which kicks off this tape-only album by Sunburned. It might sound completely pointless at first, but as the tune unfolds, it slowly jells into one of those wicked druggy jams the collective are renowned for. The second track might also sound naive, but this one immediately sucks us into it's unhurried lo-fi stoner ambience. By the time those fucked up vocals find their way into the song, soon followed by a wild sax skronk solo, we're already in a profound daze. The next two tracks sound like those fucked up instrumental synthesizer tracks by Sun Ra at their most debilitating. The very last track, on the other hand, is pure mind-crumbling noise. The Ox Of Oh is the very first release on Michael K's (of Sunburned) own Tarot & Bananas label and is limited to 100 copies.."
