'Zample 4 could be considered a sister album to the third volume in the Zample series. Both were released simultaneously and, besides the number of tracks (which is almost doubled here), both are incredibly lo-fi and filled with completely mind-boggling jams and bizarre fillers that fans will either love or hate. The Zample series have always been a showcase of the group at their most chaotic, the members are renowned for being able to channel their thoughts and make sense out of extremely fucked up musical situations and this comes through at times even on this album, but the music here is often so repetitive or muddled that one couldn't be blamed for dismissing this album as simply leftover bits and pieces from longer jams (which it most probably is). It's all hit-or-miss, with some moments of pure brilliance hidden within the muck. Give it a few listens and soon enough you'll find the diamonds in the rough. Limited as always.'
